Are you a Business Systems Consultant looking for your next challenge? Do you have strong influencing and negotiation skills with a track record of success? Do you have excellent commercial awareness and the ability to spot opportunities and risks ahead of time?

This role will support the success of a consultancy business alongside the Director, providing exemplary service standards for existing clients with niche, complex or multiple business stream financial/ERP system requirements. This role will manage key relationships with decision makers to scope bespoke requirements and manage the project through to completion.

What will you be doing as Business Systems Consultant?

  • Managing existing client requirements: keeping them updated, doing software demos by becoming one of only 4 subject-matter experts in the UK.
  • Negotiating contract extensions.
  • New business development: building relationships with decision-makers, negotiating rates, setting up client accounts.
  • Project/change control management: distributing work internally and identifying and managing risks, developing plans and mitigations.
  • Management: learn about the running of the business to support the business owner, assisting in strategic development, recognising business requirements and opportunities.


What are we looking for in a Business Systems Consultant?

  • Degree in Business Management or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to ask meaningful questions and establish stakeholder requirements.
  • Strong influencing skills, inspiring confidence to clients at all times.
  • Effective problem solving, demonstrating the ability to think creatively and logically to find solutions for complex requirements.
  • Good knowledge of accounting terminology.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt across multiple business priorities and seeks enjoyment in variety.
  • Self-starter, seeing the bigger picture and seeking to become an expert, with the potential to have key influence in strategic decisions and hold a business-critical senior leadership role in future.
  • Self-leadership skills, able to face complexities and unknowns with curiosity and confidence, not deterred by change or busy workloads.
  • Ability to learn independently as many aspects of the role have no formal training courses, therefore a strong learning attitude and discipline is required to operate out of your comfort zone and learn by experience.
