The Head of Business Performance role is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Group Chief Operating Officer.   • Leading a team with influence across people, performance, finance, marketing, and operations.
  • Overseeing recruitment strategies, driving employee engagement, and ensuring a high-performing culture.
  • Providing financial clarity and commercial insight to support sustainable growth.
  • Managing the Finance Manager, overseeing budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Ensuring strategic recommendations drive cost control, margin protection, and operational efficiency.
  • Aligning marketing and growth initiatives for brand consistency and strong market positioning.
  • Supporting client acquisition, retention, and relationship development.
  • Providing strategic oversight of marketing performance.
  • Aligning departments, ensuring accountability, and removing operational bottlenecks.
  • Championing continuous improvement, smoother operations, and faster execution.
  • Reinforcing a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Leading change initiatives and supporting digital transformation.
  • Designing and implementing strategic client care programmes.

Someone with…

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an SME or scaling business.
  • Strong financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control experience.
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and alignment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a knack for influencing and negotiating.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics, enabling data-driven decision making.
  • Experience in leading change management and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and remove operational bottlenecks.
