The Head of Business Performance role is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Group Chief Operating Officer. This role is designed for a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, someone who can bring clarity, structure, and momentum to the business while maintaining its entrepreneurial spirit.
- Leading a team with influence across people, performance, finance, marketing, and operations.
- Ensuring strategic recommendations drive growth, operational efficiency, cost control and margin protection.
- Aligning departments, ensuring accountability, and removing operational bottlenecks.
- Championing continuous improvement, automation, smoother operations, and faster execution.
- Leading change initiatives and supporting digital transformation.
- Overseeing financial management, budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
- Providing financial clarity and commercial insight to support sustainable growth.
- Overseeing recruitment strategies, driving employee engagement, and ensuring a high-performing culture.
- Aligning marketing and growth initiatives for brand consistency and strong market positioning.
- Supporting client acquisition, retention, and relationship development.
- Providing strategic oversight of marketing performance.

Someone with…
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an SME or scaling business.
- Strong financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control experience.
- Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and alignment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a knack for influencing and negotiating.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics, enabling data-driven decision making.
- Experience in leading change management and digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and remove operational bottlenecks
- The ability to work at our client’s Lancing Head Office
