Quality Manager    Lewes, East Sussex    £45-£50K DOE

Love getting into the detail and making sure things are done right, every single time? This could be the perfect next step.

We’re proud to be partnering with a well-known Sussex based, female-founded, mission-driven wellness brand behind an award-winning range of collagen, supplements and functional blends. Rooted in ancient wisdom and backed by science, they’ve been named in The Sunday Times 100 fastest-growing private companies three years running. They’re also certified B Corp and a member of 1% for the Planet, with sustainability woven into everything they do.

As Quality Manager, you’ll be at the heart of their Quality Management System, running the day-to-day quality control, verification and supplier assurance that keeps every product safe, compliant and consistently excellent, from incoming ingredients through to finished goods release. Working closely with the Technical Director, the wider Operations team and their network of manufacturers and suppliers, you’ll help protect the brand and support its next stage of international growth.

  • Carrying out incoming ingredient and packaging checks, including CoA verification and spec compliance.
  • Applying finished goods release criteria, including artwork, shelf-life and storage checks.
  • Running routine testing and trend analysis, escalating any out-of-trend results.
  • Investigating consumer and retail quality complaints and driving root-cause analysis.
  • Delivering CAPAs through to closure, working across internal teams, suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Supporting incident management, batch traceability and the annual mock recall exercise.
  • Managing supplier and co-manufacturer approval, audits and performance scorecards.
  • Maintaining specifications, controlled documents and audit-ready traceability records.
  • Supporting certification pathways including SALSA, MSC and Organic.
  • Embedding quality and food safety thinking into new product development.

Someone who thrives on detail and doing things properly, with:

  • Solid experience in quality management or QA within food, wellness or consumer goods  third-party manufacturing exposure is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards and labelling requirements; a food safety qualification is a bonus.
  • Hands-on experience of QC processes: CoA review, goods-in checks, release criteria and trend analysis.
  • A track record of investigating complaints and running CAPA processes with internal and external partners.
  • Exposure to certification audits such as SALSA, BRC, ISO, Organic or MSC.
  • Excellent organisation and record-keeping, with a systematic approach to documentation.
  • A clear, confident communicator who’s comfortable working cross-functionally and with external partners.
  • An analytical, proactive mindset with a genuine appetite for continuous improvement.

  • Competitive Salary up to £50K DOE
  • Discretionary bonus and annual salary review.
  • Private Medical Insurance and a Medicash plan (including 24/7 Virtual GP, dental, optical and more).
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and an extra Wellbeing day.
  • Ethically invested pension
  • Access to Mintago for financial wellbeing advice, discounts and salary sacrifice schemes.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Complimentary nutrition and meditation sessions in the office.
  • A fully stocked kitchen plus 50% off products.
  • Two company social events a year.
