We’re proud to be partnering with Espresso Solutions, a well-established UK supplier of coffee machine spares, parts and barista accessories. Trusted across the coffee industry, they’re now looking for a Stock Controller to join their busy warehouse team in Crawley.
As Stock Controller, you’ll take ownership of inventory accuracy across the whole warehouse operation, from cycle counts and annual stock takes through to kit assembly and returns processing. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and teams across the business, you’ll be the person keeping stock records accurate, and processes running smoothly day to day.
- Maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy through regular monitoring and reconciliation of stock records
- Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies, carrying out root cause analysis to stop them happening again
- Recording all stock movements accurately within the ERP system
- Managing serial numbers and batch expiry dates
- Planning, coordinating and executing cycle counts across the stock holding, analysing results and reconciling variances
- Leading annual stock take activities end to end, including schedules, documentation and resource planning
- Managing inventory for kit assembly, working closely with customer support to ensure stock is always available ahead of need
- Monitoring and processing returns and warranty items in a timely manner
- Identifying opportunities to improve stock control processes and warehouse efficiency using heat map and ABC analysis
Someone meticulous, and proactive, with:
- Previous experience in stock control, inventory or a warehouse environment
- A strong understanding of inventory management principles
- Experience conducting cycle counts and stock investigations
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Competence in Microsoft Excel and the wider Office suite
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience supporting audits and annual stock takes
- Logistics, distribution or e-commerce, experience highly desirable
- Forklift licence or warehouse equipment certification (Reach truck, HLOP) desirable but not essential
