Technical Business Development Manager East Grinstead £45,000 to £55,000 + Commission + Profit Share Scheme

Anchor Systems (International) Limited, renowned for its innovative mechanical anchoring solutions, including VULCAN® Earth Anchors, Helical Anchors, Sock Anchors, and Anchor Posts is seeking a dynamic Technical Business Development Manager to join their team. The role is based in Lingfield, but involves travel to client sites, providing a blend of office-based and on-the-ground engagement.
You will be responsible for establishing and expanding a strong customer base, developing new business opportunities across all sectors, and promoting our systems to both existing and prospective clients.
- Planning and prioritising workloads to meet personal and agreed sales targets.
- Developing new business opportunities across all relevant sectors domestically and internationally.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers while establishing new leads and opportunities.
- Identifying market shifts and competitor activities to advance the product range and business strategy
- Presenting, demonstrating, and promoting systems to clients, contractors, engineers, and specifiers.
- Delivering technical presentations and industry-led sessions within the civil engineering and construction sectors.
Someone with…
- 3 to 4 years of industry related business development experience (construction, civils, geotechnical, groundworks or similar).
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineering led products and solutions.
- Highly motivated, proactive and self directed, with strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, confident when engaging with technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a wider team.
- Highly numerate with the ability to work out project specifications.
- Able to work under pressure, manage deadlines and adapt to fast‑moving project requirements.
- Willing to travel and physically fit to meet the demands of site and project visits.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Competitive Salary: £45K-£55K dependent on experience & Comms
- Company Profit Share Entitlement after 2 years
