Purchasing and Procurement Executive (18-Month Maternity Cover)

Known for exceptional service, product expertise, and strong supplier relationships, Espresso Solutions is a fast-growing business at the heart of a dynamic industry.
We are looking for a Purchasing and Procurement Executive to join the team on an 18-month maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role, take ownership of purchasing processes, and work with a passionate and supportive team.
The Role
This is a hands-on role where you’ll ensure stock is available, supplier relationships are thriving, and contracts and costs are well managed. You’ll work closely with the Procurement Lead, Hannah, and other departments to support the day-to-day running of a busy operation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Raising and managing purchase orders to meet stock and customer demands.
- Building and maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries and addressing any issues.
- Negotiating pricing and payment terms to maintain margins and secure value.
- Overseeing supplier contracts and ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
- Supporting the introduction of new products in collaboration with other team members.
- Assisting with forecasting by analysing data and contributing insights.
Managing import and export processes – experience in this area is highly desirable.
You’ll be proactive, detail-driven, and confident communicating across teams and with suppliers. You don’t need a formal background in procurement, but a background in admin, operations, or customer service and a willingness to learn and get stuck in is essential.
You’ll bring:

- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- Confidence analysing data and contributing to forecasting decisions.
- Collaborative working style—you’ll be a key part of a supportive team.
- Experience with import/export processes is highly desirable.
- CIPS qualification or procurement experience? A bonus, but not essential.
